Ashley Lazasz-Pietro
Miss Ashley's passion for dance started at the early age of 3. She began her training at the Burkhart Dance Studio under the teaching of Sherry and Jill Burkhart. She trained at Burkhart for 15 years. She became a demonstrator and after graduating high school she taught at Burkhart’s for 2 years. Ashley continued her dance education at Ohio University in Athens.
Ashley has been involved in dance for the past 37 years, teaching for 16 and owner of The Dance Factory for the last 8 years. During that time, she has studied in Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Hawaii. She has attended conventions, workshops, competitions and teaching seminars like Dance Educators of America, Dance Olympus, DYCDA and Dance Masters of America, along with countless others.
In addition to dance, Ashley cheered for 10 years. She started as a Young Buckeye cheerleader and continued through high school at Buckeye Local. She was a 4-year member of the OVAC dance/drill team.
Ashley performed in numerous theater productions for The Capital Music Hall Players. She’s also done style shows and mall performances. She danced in several Nutcracker performances at the Capital with the Indianapolis Ballet Co., N.Y.C.B. Co. and P.B.T.
Ashley has also performed and competed in parades all over the Ohio Valley including Pittsburgh, The Strawberry Festival in Buckhannon, W.V. and the Cherry Blossom Parade in Washington, D.C.
Today, Ashley is happily married to Dave her "soul mate" and "best friend". They were married October 10, 2009. They have 5 dogs living with them or "fur babies". Windy, Bella, Annie, Shiloh and Tiff. Their beauty Snow has just recently passed away. They have 4 cats as well.
Ashley is the daughter of the late Donald and the late Jule Ann Lasasz. Along with their support and guidance Ashley was able to achieve her dreams and goals. Without them none of this would be possible.
